If you wanna increase your explosiveness, you are not even actually strong enough to do any type of explosive lifting. This isn’t explosive lifting. This is plyometrics which loses the point.
    Basic training unification would be:

Increase your strength in raw squat which is also particularly measured via squat to body weight ratio.
Jumping or practicing jumping is up to you.
A 2.5 times own body weight squat ration gets you to 40 inch standing vertical and 45 inch running vertical.

  23. ballachamp10 says:

@dzydave0021 yeah but i bet u put a lot of work in like myself… a lot of black ppl dont even lift or do any raises.. they just jump and BAM they dunk.. but like us we have to put 2 or 3x as much work just to get the same results.. im 6 1 barely touchin rim.. btw im asian

  24. dzydave0021 says:

well there are exceptions on both sides…african americans tend to have greater percentages of type fast twitch muscle fibers- these fibers are responsible for explosion and take off- but that theory dosent hold tru in every situation… im 6′ white guy weight 225 and can dunk off one step consistently… then there are some black dude 6’2-6’3 that arent even close to dunking

  25. dzydave0021 says:

3 days bro>>??? i have a degree in exercise science and that sounds next to impossible…training the type 2 muscle fibers takes time to develop and to see results.. ill check it out tho regardless
